I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all members and visitors who are able to join us at the opening day of our 2025 season and hope to see everyone there.

I look forward to the first bowl being thrown to open our bowling season and hope that the weather will be kind to us, let the sunshine shine 🌞.

You will be playing for the Presidents Cup with a new trophy presented by Mary Taylor at the AGM. Thank you Mary. The competition will be triples with one winning team and the wooden spoon team.

There will also be a Spider which will cost one token. I know that opening day is normally a free day but knowing the club’s finances I feel I need to at least charge one token at the cost of £3 to allow the club to raise something towards the depleting funds.

I hope everyone will enjoy the day and I look forward to starting our new season 2025.
