This year’s Club President stood on a beautiful bowling green with a clear blue (Mediterranean looking) sky on Saturday 5 April and beckoned forward his wife, Angela, to throw the first bowl of the season, thus officially opening the green for 2025.

The day was well attended, with over 40 players, who all enjoyed the weather as much as getting onto the green and throwing their bowls for the first time.

Before everyone retreated to the Community Hall for a magnificent tea and raffle, a ‘Spider’ game was played with the winner picking up a tasty bottle of whisky.

A perfect afternoon was had by all and everyone’s looking forward to an equally enjoyable and successful season ahead.
