Sunshine, Smiles, and Bowls – Gala Day Success!

What a fantastic day we had at the Brookfield Gala on Saturday! The weather was kind—pleasantly dry and not too warm—setting the perfect stage for a celebration of community spirit.

A huge thank you to Michael, Gillian, and Sophie, who worked tirelessly on the green running our Try Bowls sessions. Their energy and enthusiasm brought joy to many young and not-so-young visitors, and we’re hopeful that the interest sparked will lead to some new faces joining our club soon!

The Tombola stall was a runaway hit, drawing crowds throughout the day. Over 300 prizes were gathered earlier in the week by our dedicated club members, who went door-to-door across the village to collect donations. From bottles of shampoo to bottles of champagne, the variety kept visitors engaged until the very last ticket was drawn. Even the younger guests were thrilled by the kids’ section, filled with age-appropriate prizes that proved a big draw.

Brookfield Bowling Club is proud to be part of such a vibrant and generous community. Thank you to everyone who contributed, visited, and helped make the day such a success. Here’s to many more like it!
