Our second match of the weekend took us to Strichen Bowling Club, near Peterhead, where we were warmly invited to join in a celebratory game on Sunday.

Much like our visit to Peterhead the day before, we fielded five rinks, and once again it was a single victorious trio flying the flag for us—congratulations to Dennis, Mary, and Murial, who secured the win on their rink.

A particular highlight of the day was a wonderful presentation by Strichen’s President, Judie, who generously gifted our club a beautiful silver plate in honour of our 125th anniversary. It was an unexpected and greatly appreciated gesture.

We were met with exceptional kindness and hospitality throughout our visit, including a delicious lunch, and we then rounded off the day in great company, socialising at the local British Legion.

A truly memorable and enjoyable occasion.
