It was with some disappointment that the Committee this evening accepted the resignation of Robert Cant from the position of Vice President of our club. Due to personal circumstances, Robert felt he would be unable to continue providing the level of support required by Michael Orr in his role as President.

Editor’s Note Updating This Announcement
Without wishing to be pedantic, Robert would like to clarify that he has not resigned. Robert states that he was asked to step down as Vice President when it became clear that he would not be willing to adopt the roll of President going into next season. Robert wishes to thank Members who showed him support during his time as Vice President.

Robert will step down from the role with immediate effect.

The Committee then invited Gordon Wager to assume the now‑vacant position. Gordon accepted, while noting that he will need — and fully expects — the close support of both the Committee and the wider membership. We are confident that this support will be readily given.

We wish Gordon every success in his new role.
