What an afternoon on the green — glorious weather, a full turnout, and members enjoying just about every minute of it.

Expertly organised by Jim Fletcher, with great support from Francis and Gillian, the competition was keenly fought from the first bowl to the final end.

In a to and fro final Helen and David Dobson, seen here, were up against the upstarts Colin Greig and Carol Wager. Quality and experience won out in the end with Helen and David seeing off the challengers 7 shots to 4.

A cracking afternoon, played in great spirit — friends all round by the finish.
