What a fun afternoon we enjoyed at the Helen Stirling Trophy on Saturday. With three rounds of six ends, 14 pairs took to the green, battling through the early stages to reach the semi‑finals. From there, the two standout teams of the day went head‑to‑head to decide who would lift the Trophy.

In a nail‑biting finish, Jean Monks and Gordon Wager edged out Barbara Gardiner and Peter Stromberg by 5 shots to 4 — a terrific contest cheered on by those knocked out earlier and a healthy number of guests and non‑playing members.
