Every cloud has a silver lining, and Brookfield Bowling Club certainly found theirs last night. Our Mixed Triples team — Muriel Govan, Robert Cant and Alan McLaren — produced a superb 21–15 win over Robertson Park at Lochwinnoch. A terrific result and a real highlight of the evening.
Our five Gents teams playing Lochwinnoch at Spateston faced a tougher challenge. It was a humid, wet and increasingly dark night, and the conditions made good bowls difficult for everyone involved.
Looking ahead, our Mixed Triples team are straight back into action this evening, Thursday 27th August at 6:30pm. Muriel, Robert and Alan meet Crofthead in a match to be played at Arthurlie, Barrhead. The team would be delighted to have your support around the green cheering them on.
