Brookfield Bowling Club enjoyed a wonderful Charity Day this year, with fine weather, great company and a lively atmosphere on and off the green. The whole day was brought together under the organisation of Campbell Blaikie. Well done and thank you.

We were pleased to welcome members of the local community police, who called in at the start of the event and were pictured with our Gents Club Champion, Colin Greig, and Ladies Club Champion, Mary Taylor. Their good‑natured visit — including a light‑hearted moment “questioning” Mary and Colin on the green — added to the fun of the day.
❤️ Supporting The Wayside Club
This year’s chosen charity was The Wayside Club was established in 1932 to meet the needs of the homeless and those suffering from hardship. Thanks to the generosity of members and guests, a fantastic £500 was raised.
🕷️ Spider
The Spider was won by Marjorie Love, who very generously chose to donate her prize back to the club to support further fundraising efforts — a gesture warmly appreciated by all.
☕ Afternoon Tea
A fantastic afternoon tea was enjoyed by everyone, rounding off a day that was friendly, relaxed and thoroughly appreciated by all who took part.
🏆 Cole Hamilton Salver – Triples Competition

Their steady play throughout the afternoon earned them a well‑deserved victory. With a special thanks again to Francis, here is the full list of teams and final positions.
